Before jumping into photography full time Ryan studied architecture at Lawrence Tech University in Southfield, Michigan. The built environment has always been a passion for Ryan. Even his first foray into photography involved shooting architecture and urban landscapes. This background gives him a nuanced perspective on the projects he photographs because he understands the built environment both as a spatial designer and as well as a visual artist. Ryan has photographed everything from modern homes to historic buildings-- all with an understanding of what makes each space unique while telling the story his clients want to share.
